Asking what you can learn from any challenge you face or any mistake you make is a crucial question to ask to make sure that you move on better off than before you took on the challenge. There is always something to learn. Find it.
HOW COULD THIS BE THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME?
By asking this question, you are able to hunt for the opportunity hiding in the difficult situation. Finding opportunity is all about perseverance and not about luck.
WHAT WILL I DO THE NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS?
It is a smart move to visualise yourself dealing with the situation differently in the future. You need to programme your mind to act differently in the future.
6 Effective Questions to ask when considering Goals:
WHAT DO I REALLY WANT, EXACTLY?
Being clear about what you really want is the first step to achieving anything. It’s really useful to ask yourself this question continuously and make sure your answer makes sense.
WHY DO I WANT IT?
Understanding WHY you want something is the heart of motivation. It makes sure that you feel sufficiently determined to overcome whatever might get in the way of reaching your goals.
WHO WOULD I NEED TO BE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE IT?
This super question gets you to think of building yourself into a stronger character as a priority instead of trying to just get what you want. By being that kind of person you make the goal something longer lasting.
WHAT OBSTACLES MUST I OVERCOME?
It’s important to ask yourself what obstacles are in your way in order for you to achieve what you want. Identifying what stops you from having what you want will help you know what you need to do in order to get it.
WHAT SPECIFICALLY DO I NEED TO DO TO OVERCOME THEM AND ACHIEVE MY GOAL?
Once you are clear of the obstacles, you need to get your plan down on paper, clearly and specifically. The key is to create an action plan that moves toward your desire step by step.
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I COULDN’T FAIL?
This terrific question gets you to imagine yourself performing at your very best. By doing so, you will find yourself building your self belief and feeling like you will be able to achieve what you want.

WHAT IS ANOTHER WAY OF THINKING ABOUT THIS?
By changing how you describe the problem, you can feel much differently about it. The metaphor you use to describe it for example can determine how difficult it is to overcome.
WHAT ASSUMPTIONS AM I MAKING? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THEY WEREN’T TRUE?
Often, we make assumptions about how things are and these assumptions are so deeply ingrained that they get in the way and fail to let us see what’s right there in front of us. Take a look at your problem and investigate any potential assumptions you might be making!
WHAT WOULD THE GREATEST GENIUS IN THE WORLD DO?
By stepping into somebody else shoes we get to think about our world differently. Often when we think about what someone else would do, in this case a genius, we find it much easier to know what to do ourselves.
